World Amyloidosis Day in Sweden
A bus leaves Luleå in the morning and picks up members on the way to Umeå, 260 km south, for a day with the nurses and senior doctor of the Amyloidosis Center: latest news, genetic guidance and family information, broadcast live, then a roundtable on caring for someone with the disease.

World Amyloidosis Day in the Netherlands
“The many faces of amyloidosis”: a national campaign to help recognise a disease that can send patients from one specialist to another for years. A new knowledge quiz, stories from patients and doctors, and a podcast.
Other editions also saw actions in Austria, the United States, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Colombia, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates and beyond, from street interviews and theatre productions to sporting challenges and art contests.

Organise your own event
We all need to be the link between the members of the amyloidosis community: patients, carers, industry and institutions. The theme of the orange link works whatever the situation, whether you bring people together physically or online.
- An online artistic performance (concert, dance)
- A street-art performance (graffiti, rope structure)
- A symbolic event (human chain, coloured light installation, slacklining)
- A sporting challenge (running, trekking, skipping)
- An art contest (photography, drawing)
- A company activity, a distribution of orange rope bracelets, an online conference
